- Cleaning: Vacuum, dust, and mop floors, and clean bathrooms
- Making beds: Change bed linens and towels, and make beds
- Stocking supplies: Replace toiletries, coffee, tea, and other guest supplies
- Checking for damage: Report any damage or maintenance issues to the head housekeeper
- Communicating with guests: Respond to guest inquiries and offer customer service
- Maintaining standards: Ensure work meets the standards set by the employer
- Following rules: Follow health, safety, and hygiene rules, and obey hotel rules
- Reporting vacancies: Inform other hotel staff if rooms are vacant
