About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically proficient Senior Environment Officer / Environment Manager to lead and manage environmental consultancy and EIA-related assignments. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in EIA/EMP preparation, environmental studies, regulatory compliance, and NABET-accredited consultancy projects.

Candidates with experience as a Functional Area Expert (FAE) under the NABET/EIA framework will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and manage Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and Environmental Management Plan (EMP) studies for various projects.
- Coordinate and contribute to preparation of EIA/EMP reports, Form-1, Pre-Feasibility Reports, Environmental Monitoring reports, and related documentation.
- Conduct and/or supervise environmental baseline studies, impact assessment, mitigation planning, and environmental management programs.
- Work on projects related to mining, infrastructure, industrial, and other developmental activities.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including geology, mining, GIS, hydrogeology, and other technical experts.
- Ensure technical quality, accuracy, and timely completion of environmental deliverables.
- Handle coordination with clients, project teams, consultants, and regulatory authorities wherever required.
- Interpret and apply applicable MoEF&CC;, CPCB, SPCB, NGT and other environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Support environmental clearance-related documentation, presentations, submissions, and compliance requirements.
- Review environmental data, monitoring results, technical reports, and consultant inputs.




- Mentor and guide junior environmental professionals and team members.
- Participate in site visits, stakeholder consultations, public hearing-related activities, and field assessments as required.
- Maintain awareness of amendments and developments in environmental regulations and EIA processes.

Preferred Experience & Skills

- Minimum 5 years of relevant skilled experience after completion of Master's degree.
- Strong hands-on experience in EIA/EMP and environmental consultancy.
- Experience with a NABET-accredited EIA consultancy organization is highly preferred.
- Candidates who have worked as a NABET Functional Area Expert (FAE) will be given preference.
- Good understanding of the EIA Notification, 2006, environmental clearance process, and applicable environmental regulations.
- Experience in preparation/review of technical environmental reports and regulatory submissions.
- Strong report-writing, analytical, coordination, and communication skills.
- Ability to independently manage environmental assignments and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to travel for field/site visits as required.

Educational Qualification

- M.Sc. / M.Tech. / Ph.D. in:
- Environmental Science
- Environmental Engineering
- Environmental Management
- Environmental Sciences
- or other relevant environmental discipline.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate would be someone who has:

Master's Degree + 5+ years of post-qualification experience + EIA/NABET consultancy experience + Functional Area Expert (FAE) experience.

Candidates with experience in mining and infrastructure-related EIA projects will be preferred.
