Key Responsibilities

- Perform X-ray examinations as per doctor/radiologist instructions.
- Verify patient identity and requested investigation before the procedure.
- Explain the procedure to patients and provide necessary instructions.
- Position patients correctly to obtain quality diagnostic images.
- Operate X-ray equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow radiation protection and safety protocols.
- Use appropriate protective equipment such as lead apron and thyroid shield when required.
- Maintain patient privacy, dignity and confidentiality.
- Check image quality and repeat images only when clinically necessary.
- Maintain X-ray room cleanliness and equipment readiness.




- Perform routine equipment checks and immediately report technical problems.
- Maintain radiation-related records and daily examination records.
- Follow infection-control and biomedical-waste management procedures.
- Coordinate with radiologists, doctors, nurses and other departments.
- Handle emergency patients carefully, including trauma cases.
- Ensure proper documentation and timely availability of reports/images.
- Follow hospital SOPs, quality standards and applicable statutory requirements.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.Sc. in Radiology or Medical Imaging Technology.
- Valid registration/licence as applicable.
- Previous hospital experience preferred.

Required Skills

- Good knowledge of X-ray procedures and patient positioning.
- Knowledge of radiation safety.
- Valuable communication and patient-handling skills.
- Ability to work in emergency and shift duties.
- Basic computer and hospital software knowledge.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
