Job Responsibilities

- Edit and proofread news stories, reports and other editorial content.
- Ensure accuracy, clarity, grammar and adherence to editorial standards.
- Handle news selection, prioritisation and editing under tight deadlines.
- Coordinate with reporters and other newsroom teams.
- Prepare and edit content for print publication.
- Handle pagemaking/pagination and newspaper production workflows.
- Ensure timely completion of pages and editions.
- Maintain strong news judgement and editorial quality.

Candidate Requirements

- Relevant experience in print newspaper journalism.
- Experience in news editing and newsroom operations.
- Strong command of English language, grammar and copy-editing.
- Positive understanding of news values and editorial judgement.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately under deadline pressure.
- Hands-on experience in pagemaking/pagination is highly preferred.
- Practical experience in newspaper production will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
