Job Description

We are looking for a Counsellor to support rural youth through mobilization, career counselling, DDU-GKY training enrolment, and employment guidance. The candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging potential candidates, explaining training and placement opportunities, supporting the enrolment process, and maintaining regular follow-up with candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Mobilize rural youth and conduct career counselling sessions.
- Assess candidates’ educational qualifications, skills, interests, and career goals.
- Explain DDU-GKY training courses, eligibility criteria, advantages, and placement opportunities.
- Assist interested candidates with the registration and enrolment process.
- Conduct counselling sessions with candidates and parents.
- Guide candidates in selecting suitable training courses and job roles based on their interests and qualifications.
- Conduct mobilization camps, village meetings, and awareness programs.
- Collect and verify candidate documents.
- Maintain candidate attendance, training progress, and counselling records.
- Identify candidates at risk of dropping out and conduct regular follow-up counselling.
- Coordinate with training and placement teams.
- Update candidate information and required data in MIS systems.
- Follow up with candidates after placement and track their employment status.




- Maintain proper documentation and candidate records related to mobilization and counselling activities.

Required Skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent communication in Telugu and English.
- Good counselling and candidate-handling skills.
- Ability to interact confidently with rural youth and parents.
- Willingness to travel for field visits and mobilization activities.
- Basic knowledge of computers, MS Office, and data entry.
- Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
- Strong follow-up and coordination skills.
- Positive, patient, and professional attitude.

Qualification & Preferred Experience

- Intermediate or Degree qualification.
- Experience in counselling, mobilization, recruitment, student coordination, or skill-development projects is preferred.
- Knowledge or experience in DDU-GKY, PMKVY, or similar skill-development programs will be an added advantage.
- Freshers with strong communication and interpersonal skills may also apply.

Job Requirements

- Willingness to conduct regular field visits and village-level mobilization activities.
- Ability to work with candidates, parents, training teams, and placement teams.
- Ability to work towards enrolment and mobilization targets.
- Good communication and follow-up skills are essential.
