Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Fire & Safety Officer to oversee fire and safety operations at construction sites in Chennai. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with safety standards, identifying potential hazards, conducting inspections, and promoting a strong safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor and implement fire & safety procedures at the construction site.
- Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify potential fire and safety hazards.
- Ensure compliance with applicable fire safety standards, regulations, and site safety requirements.
- Inspect fire extinguishers, fire protection systems, emergency exits, and other safety equipment.
- Conduct toolbox talks, safety awareness sessions, and emergency drills.
- Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation, inspection reports, and records.
- Coordinate with site engineers, contractors, workers, and management on safety-related matters.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices at the site.




- Report unsafe conditions and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
- Support emergency response and fire prevention activities.

Requirements

- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Fire & Safety Officer in a construction site.
- NEBOSH Certificate is mandatory.
- Valuable knowledge of construction-site safety practices and fire prevention procedures.
- Strong communication and site coordination skills.
- Ability to work independently and handle site-level safety responsibilities.

Languages Required

Candidates should be able to communicate in:

- Malayalam
- English
- Tamil
- Hindi

Preferred Candidate

A proactive and responsible safety professional with hands-on construction-site experience, strong knowledge of fire and safety procedures, and the ability to effectively coordinate with workers, engineers, contractors, and management.

Pay: From ₹20,000.00 per month
