JOB DESCRIPTION – EHS MANAGER
Designation: EHS Manager
No. of Vacancy: 01
Qualification: Engineering Graduate + P.D.I.S. (Post Graduate Diploma in Industrial Safety)
Experience: 7–10 years of relevant Safety/EHS experience, including experience in a manufacturing industry
Working Hours: 09:30 AM to 06:30 PM
Salary: As per industry standards and candidate's experience
Required Skills & Knowledge
- Positive knowledge of Gujarat Factory Rules, applicable EHS laws and statutory compliance.
- Strong knowledge of occupational health and workplace safety practices.
- Knowledge of fire prevention, firefighting equipment and emergency response.
- Good understanding of PPE, safety equipment and their proper application.
- Knowledge of HIRA, JSA, risk assessment and safe work procedures.
- Experience in chemical safety and hazardous chemical handling.
- Knowledge of EMS and GPCB-related environmental requirements.
- Good training and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Advise management and concerned departments on safety measures required to prevent workplace injuries and accidents.
- Conduct regular plant safety inspections and identify unsafe conditions, unsafe acts and potential hazards.
- Conduct Job Safety Analysis (JSA), HIRA and risk assessments for jobs, processes and activities.
- Recommend and follow up on corrective and preventive actions to eliminate or control identified hazards.
- Ensure appropriate PPE is selected, available, maintained and properly used by employees and workers.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and dangerous occurrences, identify root causes and recommend preventive measures.
- Ensure proper maintenance of records and statutory documentation related to accidents, dangerous occurrences and occupational diseases.
- Ensure compliance with applicable provisions of the Gujarat Factory Rules and other statutory EHS requirements.
- Plan and conduct fire safety training, emergency mock drills and awareness programs.
- Ensure firefighting equipment, emergency exits, evacuation routes and emergency response systems are properly maintained.
- Ensure safe handling, storage and use of chemicals and other hazardous materials.
- Organize safety induction, toolbox talks and periodic safety training for employees, workers and contractors.
- Promote and coordinate Safety Committee activities, safety campaigns, competitions and awareness programs.
- Coordinate with the concerned departments for environmental compliance, EMS implementation and GPCB-related requirements.
- Prepare and maintain EHS reports, inspection records, training records, incident reports and other required documentation.
- Monitor EHS performance and implement initiatives for continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
