Job Description – Assistant QS (Subcontractor Billing)

Position: Assistant Quantity Surveyor – Subcontractor Billing
Department: Quantity Surveying / Commercial

Reporting To: QS / Billing Manager / Project Manager

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and verify subcontractor running bills (RA Bills) based on actual work executed at site.
- Check measurement sheets, MB entries, BOQ quantities and site measurements before processing bills.
- Coordinate with site engineers, supervisors and subcontractors for joint measurements and quantity verification.
- Verify subcontractor bills against work orders, BOQ, rates and approved drawings.
- Check quantity variations, extra items and deviations and maintain proper records.
- Assist in preparation of measurement sheets, abstract sheets and reconciliation statements.
- Verify deductions such as mobilization advance, retention, GST/TDS, labour cess, recoveries, penalties and other applicable deductions.
- Maintain records of subcontractor work orders, bills, measurements, payments and outstanding amounts.




- Coordinate with the Accounts and Project teams for bill certification and payment processing.
- Prepare subcontractor billing status reports and track pending bills.
- Assist the QS in quantity reconciliation and cost monitoring.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all billing-related records.
- Support the senior QS in final bill preparation and subcontractor settlement.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/B.Tech in Civil Engineering or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in construction/infrastructure billing, preferably subcontractor billing.
- Good knowledge of BOQ, rate analysis, measurements and RA bills.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and basic billing software/ERP.
- Good numerical, documentation and coordination skills.
- Ability to work at construction project sites and coordinate with multiple teams.
- Knowledge of civil construction activities and measurement practices will be preferred.

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
