Job Description – Last Mile Operations Associate

Department: Last Mile Operations

Experience: 0 - 3 years in Logistics, Last-Mile Delivery, Fleet Management Or Similar Roles

Role Summary

We Are Looking For A Last Mile Operations Associate To Manage Day To Day Delivery Operations And Ensure Smooth Execution From Vehicle Loading To Final Delivery.

The Role Involves Vehicle And Trip Coordination, Driver / 3PL Management, Delivery Monitoring, Order Bookings, Issue Resolution, Escalations, And End Of Day Closure.

The Person Will Be Responsible For Ensuring Every Assigned PO Is Delivered, In Transit, Booked, Or Appropriately Escalated By The End Of The Day.

Key Responsibilities

1. Vehicle Loading & Trip Management
*Report To The Warehouse By 7:30 AM And Coordinate Vehicle Loading.
*Monitor Vehicle Reporting And Highlight Delays / Non Reporting.
*Ensure The Correct Material Is Loaded Against Assigned Routes.
*Verify Vehicle, Driver, And Helper Availability Before Dispatch.

2. Vehicle & Delivery Monitoring
*Monitor Assigned Vehicles And Delivery Progress Throughout The Day.
*Track Delivery Timelines, Route Progress, KM Limits, And Shift Hours.
*Proactively Identify Delays And Take Corrective Action.
*Ensure Deliveries Are Completed Within Defined SLA's.

3. Vendor & Driver Coordination
*Coordinate With 3PL Partners, Drivers, Helpers, And Vendor POC's.
*Resolve Operational Issues Such As Breakdowns, Route Deviations, Refusals, And Delays.
*Ensure Vendors Follow Agreed Vehicle, Unloading, And Shift Requirements.
*Track Recurring Operational Issues And Highlight Them During Reviews.

4. Order Management
*Identify Unassigned Orders And Arrange Vehicles Through Available Delivery Partners.
*Coordinate Loading, Dispatch, And Delivery Tracking For Leftover Orders.
*Monitor Orders And Ensure Timely Booking, Dispatch, And Delivery.
*Ensure No Order Remains Unaddressed Without Proper Escalation.

Issue Resolution & Escalations
*Take Ownership Of Delivery Issues Until Closure.
*Document The Issue, Action Taken, Current Status, And Next Steps.
*Escalate Cases Appropriately To Internal Teams Or Vendors.

Candidate Profile

Must Have
1-3 Years Of Experience In Logistics, Last Mile, Fleet Management
Strong Coordination, Follow Up, And Communication Skills.
Comfortable Working In A Fast Paced Ground Operations Environment.
Proficiency In Excel Google Sheets And Operational Dashboards.
Ability To Manage Multiple Vehicles, Orders, And Issues Simultaneously.
Strong Ownership, Attention To Detail, And Decision-Making Skills.

Good To Have
Experience Working With 3PL / Fleet Vendors.
Experience With OMS / TMS Or Logistics Platforms.
Last Mile, Warehouse, Or Dispatch Operations Experience.
Basic Understanding Of Operational MIS / KPI's.

Working Style & Shift

Shift Starts At 7:20 AM

*Primarily Warehouse / Ground Operations Based.
*Requires Continuous Coordination With Drivers, Vendors, And Internal Teams.
*Dedicated Vehicle Deliveries Are Targeted For Completion By 6:00 PM.
*The Person Should Be Proactive, Execution Oriented, And Comfortable Handling Live Operational Issues.

Success in the Role
The Person Will Be Successful When They Consistently Ensure:
* Vehicles Report And Load On Time.
* Trips Are Correctly Assigned And Dispatched.
* Deliveries Are Actively Monitored And Completed Within SLA's.
* Orders Are Booked And Delivered On Time.
* Issues Are Proactively Resolved Or Escalated.
* Vendors And Drivers Follow Defined Processes.
* No Assigned Shipment Is Left Without Action At The End Of The Day.
* Operational Trackers And Closures Are Maintained Accurately.

Pay: ₹360,000.00 - ₹390,000.00 per year
