Job Description – Dance Facilitator

Position: Dance Facilitator
Employment Type: Full-Time
Department: Performing Arts
Grades: KG to Grade 10
Reporting To: Head of School / Performing Arts Coordinator

Role Overview

We are looking for a passionate, creative, and experienced Dance Facilitator to lead dance education across KG to Grade 10. The candidate should have strong expertise in Western Dance, with Classical Dance experience preferred.

The role involves regular classroom instruction, lesson planning, student assessment, parent interaction, and significant involvement in the school's annual events and performing arts programmes.

Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Learning

- Conduct regular dance classes for students from KG to Grade 10.
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate dance lessons covering technique, movement, rhythm, choreography, and performance.
- Develop students' confidence, creativity, coordination, discipline, and stage presence.
- Introduce students to both Western and Classical Dance forms, wherever appropriate.
- Identify and nurture students with advanced dance abilities.
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning setting.

2. Planning & Documentation

- Prepare and maintain weekly/term-wise lesson planners.
- Set appropriate learning objectives and outcomes for each grade.
- Maintain student records and evidence of learning.
- Complete report cards and student assessments within the prescribed timelines.
- Contribute to curriculum planning and Performing Arts development.

3. Parent Interaction

- Participate in parent meetings and interactions as required.




- Communicate students' progress, strengths, areas for improvement, and participation in dance activities.
- Maintain professional and constructive communication with parents.

4. Annual Day & School Events

- Take lead responsibility for dance-related preparations for the Annual Day.
- Choreograph and train students for Annual Day performances and other major school events.
- Plan rehearsals, formations, costumes, music requirements, and stage movements.
- Coordinate with teachers, event teams, music faculty, and school management.
- Ensure students are adequately prepared for performances within the stipulated timelines.
- Support other school events, celebrations, competitions, and cultural programmes.

5. Video Editing & Digital Skills

- Demonstrate good command over video editing for school performances and dance-related requirements.
- Edit rehearsal and performance videos for review, documentation, and presentations.
- Create basic promotional/event videos and dance compilations when required.
- Work with the school's media/event team for digital content creation.

Essential Skills & Competencies

- Strong expertise in Western Dance.
- Classical Dance training/experience preferred.




- Strong choreography and performance skills.
- Ability to teach students across different age groups.
- Excellent classroom management and student engagement skills.
- Strong planning, organisation, and documentation skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership.
- Good video-editing skills.
- Ability to work under timelines, particularly during Annual Day and major events.
- Passion for performing arts and student development.

Qualifications & Experience

- Degree/Diploma/Certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred.
- Formal training in Western Dance and/or Classical Dance.
- Prior experience working in a school environment is preferred.
- Experience in choreography and managing large student performances will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in both teaching and event choreography will be preferred.

Key Performance Expectations

The successful candidate will be expected to:

- Deliver engaging and structured dance learning across KG–Grade 10.
- Maintain timely lesson planning and student documentation.
- Demonstrate measurable student progress.
- Successfully prepare students for Annual Day and other performances.
- Build a vibrant dance and performing arts culture within the school.
- Contribute creatively to the school's events, productions, and digital media requirements.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹37,000.00 per month
