Job Title: Preprimary Coordinator – Foundation Stage / Preparatory Stage
Reports To: Principal / Head of School Department: Academics – Early Years
Job Purpose
The Academic Coordinator – Foundation/Preparatory Stage will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring the academic program for early years in alignment with CBSE guidelines, NEP 2020, and the school’s vision. The role focuses on teacher mentoring, curriculum execution, student progress monitoring, and parent engagement to ensure high-quality early childhood education.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Planning & Curriculum Implementation
Plan, review, and oversee the Foundation and Preparatory Stage curriculum in line with CBSE, NEP 2020, and the school philosophy.
Guide teachers in lesson planning, theme-based learning, and integration of life skills and experiential learning.
Support and ensure the use of interactive, play-based, and child-centric teaching methodologies.
Ensure age-appropriate learning outcomes and smooth academic progression.
Teacher Support & Mentoring
Conduct regular classroom observations and provide structured, constructive feedback.
Mentor teachers for continuous professional growth and effective classroom practices.
Support new teacher induction, orientation, and training on academic expectations and classroom management.
Encourage collaboration and sharing of best practices among teachers.
Assessment & Documentation
Ensure proper maintenance of academic planners, worksheets, assessments, student portfolios, and records.
Monitor student progress, learning milestones, and developmental indicators.
Identify learning gaps and support teachers in implementing intervention strategies where required.
Ensure documentation aligns with regulatory and school standards.
Parent Communication & Engagement
Coordinate and participate in Parent-Teacher Meetings (PTMs), orientations, and parent workshops.
Address parent queries and concerns in collaboration with teachers and school leadership.
Build strong parent-school partnerships to support holistic child development.
School Activities & Events
Support planning and execution of school events, celebrations, early years programs, and special assemblies.
Collaborate with activity coordinators and leadership for integrated learning experiences.
Required Qualifications
Graduate / Postgraduate (preferably in Education / Child Development).
B.Ed / NTT / ECCE / Montessori / Early Childhood Education qualification – Mandatory.
Experience & Skills
Minimum 5–7 years of teaching experience in Early Years / Foundation / Preparatory Stage.
At least 2–3 years of experience in a Coordinator / Academic Leadership role preferred.
Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and leadership teams.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
