Job Summary
C KARE Health Services is looking for a General Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care, including preventive, diagnostic, and restorative dental services.
The role involves patient examination, diagnosis, treatment planning, routine dental procedures, patient education, clinical documentation, and coordination with the dental team while following applicable professional, ethical, and organisational standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Responsibilities
- Conduct oral examinations and assess dental conditions.
- Diagnose dental conditions within the scope of professional practice.
- Provide routine dental procedures including:
- Dental fillings
- Extractions
- Scaling and polishing
- Crowns and bridges
- Basic root canal treatments
- Other routine general dental procedures within the dentist's scope of practice
- Provide preventive dental care and oral hygiene guidance.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans based on clinical assessment.
- Attend to dental emergencies and provide appropriate pain management within professional scope.
- Maintain appropriate infection-control and sterilisation practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records, treatment notes, and applicable consent documentation.
- Refer cases requiring specialist assessment or treatment to the appropriate specialist.
- Explain treatment options and post-treatment care instructions to patients.
Team & Administrative Responsibilities
- Coordinate with dental assistants and front-office staff to support smooth patient care and clinic operations.
- Participate in relevant clinic meetings and professional discussions.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the dental and healthcare team.
Quality & Compliance
- Follow C KARE Health Services policies, procedures, and applicable SOPs.
- Follow applicable infection-control and biomedical-waste management requirements.
- Maintain appropriate informed-consent documentation.
- Participate in relevant audits, CME programmes, and continuing professional education.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and skilled ethical standards.
Qualifications
- BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from a recognised university.
- Valid registration with the applicable State Dental Council.
Skills & CompetenciesTechnical Skills
- Knowledge of preventive, restorative, and minor surgical dental procedures.
- Knowledge of dental materials, radiography, and sterilisation procedures.
- Familiarity with digital dental records and dental/clinic software systems.
