Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Feasibility

- Prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR), capex budget, project schedule and cash-flow plan with finance and management.
- Support site selection, land acquisition, soil testing and contour surveys.
- Define plant capacity, product mix and process flow with the technical and marketing teams.
- Build the master schedule (MS Project / Primavera) with milestones, critical path and resource plan.

2. Statutory Approvals and Compliance

- Obtain all approvals: factory licence, building plan sanction, Consent to Establish and Operate (State Pollution Control Board), fire NOC, electricity connection, water permits and industrial development authority clearances.
- Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, environmental norms, BIS standards and local building codes.
- Manage liaison with government departments, industrial development corporations and local bodies.

3. Engineering and Design

- Appoint and manage architects, structural consultants and utility designers.
- Finalise plant layout, material flow, warehouse design and expansion provisions.
- Review drawings for civil, PEB structures, electrical, HVAC, compressed air, fire fighting, ETP/STP and cleanroom areas where food or pharma packaging requires them.

4. Procurement and Contracts

- Evaluate and select packaging machinery: printing (rotogravure / flexo), lamination, extrusion, slitting, pouching, corrugation or thermoforming lines as per the product plan.
- Run tendering, techno-commercial comparisons and negotiations for machinery, civil and utility packages.
- Draft and manage contracts, purchase orders, payment milestones, LCs and import logistics with procurement and finance.
- Conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at OEM sites in India and abroad.

5. Construction and Site Execution

- Lead day-to-day site execution: civil works, PEB erection, roads, drainage, boundary walls and internal infrastructure.
- Coordinate multiple contractors, resolve interface issues and hold weekly progress reviews.




- Enforce quality checks, material testing and approved method statements.
- Drive zero-accident sites through EHS plans, permits to work, toolbox talks and safety audits.

6. Installation and Commissioning

- Manage machine foundations, erection, alignment and hook-up of utilities.
- Lead Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), trial runs and performance guarantee tests with OEMs.
- Stabilise lines to rated speed, output and wastage targets before handover.

7. Cost, Schedule and Risk Control

- Track actual versus budgeted capex, approve bills and control variations and change orders.
- Monitor progress against baseline, flag delays early and implement recovery plans.
- Maintain a risk register covering approvals, vendor delays, cost escalation and import lead times.

8. Handover and Team Readiness

- Support recruitment and training of production, maintenance and quality teams before start-up.
- Hand over as-built drawings, O&M; manuals, spares lists, warranties and statutory documents.
- Help establish ISO 9001, ISO 14001, FSSC 22000 / BRCGS Packaging systems as applicable.

9. Reporting and Stakeholder Management

- Present weekly and monthly progress, cost and risk reports to management and the board.
- Act as the single point of contact for consultants, contractors, OEMs, banks and lenders' engineers.

The company will provide the following benefits to the selected candidate:

- Total Relocation Allowance: USD 500 per month, as an estimated relocation support amount provided by the company.
- Food Allowance: USD 250 per month.
- Rent/Accommodation Allowance: USD 250 per month. The candidate's eligible rent/accommodation expenses will be covered by the company.
- Employment Type: Permanent Role.
- Job Location: Tema, Ghana, Africa.
- Air Ticket: The company will bear the cost of the candidate's air ticket for travel/joining to Ghana
