Nearpay Innovations Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced and target-oriented Business Development Officer to expand Nearwala’s merchant network in Kochi. The role involves acquiring new merchants, promoting and selling Nearwala’s new plans, conducting product demonstrations, and driving paid subscriptions and merchant activation.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify and generate new merchant leads through field visits, calls, references, and networking.
- Visit shops, retailers, businesses, and potential merchants across assigned areas in Kochi.
- Introduce Nearwala and explain its products, services, and business benefits.
- Promote and sell Nearwala’s new plans and subscription packages.
- Explain plan features, pricing, benefits, and value proposition to potential merchants.
- Conduct product demonstrations and address merchant queries.
- Convert prospects into paid merchants and complete the onboarding process.
- Follow up with leads and existing merchants to drive conversions, upgrades, and renewals.
- Ensure successful merchant activation and encourage initial usage.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with merchants.
- Achieve assigned sales, merchant acquisition, and revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, visits, follow-ups, conversions, and sales.




- Provide regular updates and market feedback to the reporting manager.
- Monitor competitor activities and identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

- Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Field Sales, B2B Sales, Merchant Acquisition, or a related field.
- Solid communication, negotiation, and convincing skills.
- Target-oriented and self-motivated.
- Ability to confidently communicate with business owners and retailers.
- Good understanding of sales and customer relationship management.
- Willingness to travel within Kochi for field visits.
- Malayalam and English communication skills preferred.
- Two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred.

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
