The Logistics Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and managing the daily movement of goods, vehicles, and drivers to ensure timely, cost-effective, and safe delivery of shipments. This role serves as a central point of communication between drivers, customers, and internal teams, ensuring schedules are met and issues are resolved quickly.

Key Responsibilities

- Schedule, dispatch, and monitor drivers, vehicles, and shipments
- Coordinate pickup and delivery times to meet customer and operational requirements
- Communicate with drivers regarding routes, schedules, traffic, weather, and delivery instructions
- Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve delays or disruptions
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery times, and driver logs
- Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, safety policies, and company procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, updates, and service issues professionally
- Collaborate with warehouse, operations, and customer service teams
- Optimize routes and loads to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Respond to emergencies, breakdowns,



or last-minute schedule changes

Required Qualifications

- High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred)
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, transportation, or supply chain operations
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with dispatch software, GPS tracking systems, and Microsoft Office
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards (preferred)
