Job Description
We are looking for a talented and analytical Teamcenter PLM Developer to design, customize, and build advanced solutions within our Siemens Teamcenter Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming complex engineering and business requirements into scalable technical designs. You will write clean, optimized code for both backend services and frontend interfaces, ensuring our PLM system integrates seamlessly with core enterprise tools like CAD and ERP systems.
What you will do:
Core Development & Customization • Develop server-side customizations using Teamcenter ITK (Integration Toolkit) and SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) frameworks. • Customize client-side environments including Rich Client (RAC) development using Java/Eclipse RCP and Active Workspace (AWC) development using AngularJS, Siemens AW framework, HTML5, and CSS3. • Implement business rules by building custom extensions, handlers (Rule and Action handlers), and user exits to automate complex engineering processes.
Data Modelling & Architecture • Design data models within the Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE), managing business objects, attributes, LOVs (List of Values), and rules. • Create complex workflows and data validation schemes using Workflow Designer and EPM frameworks. • Build data migration scripts and routines to extract, transform, and load (ETL)
legacy engineering data into Teamcenter.
System Integrations • Build and maintain integrations between Teamcenter and external enterprise systems such as ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle), MES, and PLM-to-PLM bridges. • Configure and extend CAD integrations (e.g., NX, Creo, SolidWorks) to optimize data sharing and management for design teams. • Develop custom transfer modes using PLMXML and TCXML for secure data exchange.
Testing & Deployment • Write unit test cases, conduct thorough code reviews, and fix bugs to maintain high software quality benchmarks. • Collaborate with DevOps teams to package code, manage versions using Git/SVN, and support deployment across Dev, QA, and Production systems.
What we would like you to have done:
Technical Background • Experience Level: 5+ years of core software development experience purely focusing on Siemens Teamcenter PLM. • Programming Languages: Proficiency in C, C++, and Java for backend customization, alongside JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend needs. • AWC Customization: Solid hands-on experience customizing Active Workspace (AWC) tile configurations, stylesheets, and custom views. • API Frameworks: Deep technical expertise in Teamcenter ITK, SOA APIs, and BMIDE configurations. • Database Skills: Intermediate proficiency in SQL or PL/SQL for query writing, debugging, and data analysis.
Soft Skills & Education • Education:
Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, IT, or a related discipline. • Problem Solving: Strong algorithmic thinking and clean coding practices. • Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to interact with Business Analysts, Teamcenter Admins, and QA teams.
