Job Summary
Gold Coins Club & Resort, a premier hospitality and leisure destination in Electronic City, Bengaluru, is seeking a skilled and disciplined Commis 1 Chef. In this role, you will be responsible for a specific section of our kitchen (e.g., Continental, Indian, or Pan-Asian), preparing high-quality food, and ensuring strict adherence to cleanliness and hospitality standards. You will work closely with the Chef de Partie (CDP) and Sous Chef to ensure a seamless dining experience for restaurant guests and banquet events.

Key Responsibilities

- Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the resort's standard operating procedures (SOPs), recipes, and presentation specifications.
- Section Management: Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked culinary stations for your designated section (Indian, Continental, or Pan-Asian).
- Mise en Place: Execute efficient prep work (chopping, marinating, portioning) ahead of rush hours to ensure timely service.
- Hygiene & Food Safety: Maintain strict kitchen hygiene, sanitation, and food safety protocols in line with health regulations.
- Inventory Control:



Minimize food wastage, track stock levels, and inform the senior chef about ingredient shortfalls or ordering needs.
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate smoothly with stewards, F&B; service staff, and other kitchen staff for quick order turnarounds.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience as a Commis 2 or Commis 1 in a 3-star/4-star resort or a reputable hotel/restaurant.
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management/Culinary Arts is preferred but practical experience is highly valued.
- Skills: Strong foundational culinary skills, deep discipline, speed, and efficiency under pressure.
- Language: Basic English or Hindi communication skills.
