We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Tech Lead to lead the development, maintenance, integration, and enhancement of the organization's technology applications and systems. The role will be responsible for providing technical leadership to the development team, ensuring application performance and security, managing technical projects, and delivering scalable and reliable technology solutions aligned with business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Leadership

- Lead and mentor the software development team and provide technical guidance.
- Define technical architecture, development standards, coding practices, and best practices.
- Review code and ensure quality, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide effective solutions.
- Participate in technology selection and evaluate new tools and frameworks.

2. Application Development & Maintenance

- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain business applications.
- Understand business requirements and convert them into effective technical solutions.
- Manage application enhancements, bug fixes, integrations, and system upgrades.
- Ensure applications are stable, secure, and optimized for performance.
- Maintain proper technical documentation and system specifications.

3. Team & Project Management

- Allocate technical tasks and monitor development progress.
- Conduct code reviews and technical discussions with team members.
- Support developers in resolving technical challenges.
- Coordinate with Product, Business, Operations, IT Infrastructure, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are delivered within agreed timelines and quality standards.

4. API & System Integration

- Design and manage APIs and integrations with internal and external systems.
- Work with third-party vendors and technology partners for system integrations.




- Ensure secure and reliable data exchange between applications.
- Monitor integration issues and coordinate timely resolution.

5. Database & Performance

- Work with databases, queries, data structures, and application performance optimization.
- Identify performance bottlenecks and implement appropriate solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
- Support backup, recovery, and disaster-recovery requirements in coordination with the IT team.

6. Security & Compliance

- Implement secure coding practices and application-level security controls.
- Ensure systems follow organizational IT security policies.
- Support vulnerability assessment, security audits, and remediation activities.
- Ensure appropriate access controls and protection of sensitive business/customer information.

7. Deployment & Support

- Manage application releases, deployments, and production support.
- Coordinate with infrastructure/DevOps teams for deployment and environment management.
- Monitor production issues and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain proper incident, change, and release management processes.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of software development and system architecture.
- Strong programming experience in relevant technologies such as Java, .NET, Python, PHP, Node.js, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management.
- Experience in REST APIs, web services, and third-party integrations.
- Knowledge of Git/version control, CI/CD and deployment processes.
- Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage.
- Knowledge of application security and secure coding practices.
- Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and team-management skills.

Educational Qualification

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certifications will be an added advantage.

Experience

- 6–10 years of experience in software development/technology roles.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience managing development teams and delivering business-critical applications.
- Experience in the financial services, banking, forex, payments, or regulated industry will be an advantage.

The ideal candidate should be a hands-on technical leader with strong development experience, architectural understanding, problem-solving ability, and experience in managing technology projects and teams. The candidate should be capable of independently handling technical requirements, coordinating with business stakeholders, and ensuring reliable delivery of technology solutions.
