Role Overview:

In this role, you will work on cutting-edge initiatives focused on fine-tuning and evaluating Large Language Models (LLMs) by leveraging your strong analytical skills and Mathematics expertise.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in Mathematics, ranging from advanced engineering entrance-level concepts through graduate and PhD-level topics, along with the ability to break down complex mathematical problems into clear, logical, step-by-step reasoning.

You will play a direct role in identifying model limitations, evaluating complex reasoning capabilities, and contributing to the development of high-quality mathematical benchmarks while gaining exposure to advanced AI tools and technologies.

Key Requirements:

- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent English comprehension and written communication skills.
- Strong understanding of advanced Mathematics, including graduate and PhD-level concepts.
- Ability to provide structured written feedback and detailed annotations.
- Strong lateral and creative thinking skills to develop novel scenarios and evaluate complex reasoning pathways.
- Ability to work independently in a rapid-paced, remote-first environment.
- Must have a personal desktop/laptop with a stable, high-speed internet connection.

Key Responsibilities:

Problem Creation & Solutioning:





- Design and solve challenging Mathematics problems that test the reasoning capabilities and limitations of Large Language Models.

Authoring Gold-Standard Data:

- Create clear, accurate, high-quality, step-by-step mathematical solutions with detailed reasoning.

Research Collaboration:

- Collaborate with LLM researchers to align task designs with evaluation objectives and target areas where models commonly struggle, including symbolic manipulation, abstraction, and multi-step reasoning.

Benchmark Definition:

- Contribute to defining and building new evaluation benchmarks covering Mathematics curricula from early undergraduate through graduate and PhD levels.

Education & Experience:

- Ph.D. in Mathematics or an equivalent advanced technical field.
- Strong academic or research background in Mathematics.
- Experience with AI evaluation, data annotation, content review, quality assurance, or similar analytical roles is preferred but not mandatory.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

- Ph.D. in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics or a closely related technical discipline.
- Strong expertise in advanced mathematical concepts and problem-solving.
- Experience creating or solving complex mathematical problems.
- Strong written communication and ability to explain mathematical reasoning step-by-step.
- Research, teaching, academic, or analytical experience.
- Interest or experience in AI/LLM evaluation is an added advantage.

Pay: ₹7,740.00 per day
