About the Role

Rich Global Edu is looking for confident, enthusiastic and student-focused Counsellors / Education Counsellors to guide prospective students and parents regarding higher education, study abroad opportunities and career pathways.

The candidate will be responsible for understanding students' academic backgrounds, career goals and preferences, recommending suitable study options, explaining admission processes and providing continuous support throughout the counselling and application journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding higher education and study abroad opportunities.
- Understand students' academic profiles, career interests, financial preferences and future goals.
- Provide accurate information about universities, courses, countries, tuition fees, scholarships and admission requirements.
- Recommend suitable universities, programmes and study destinations based on student profiles.
- Explain the complete admission process clearly to students and parents.
- Handle student and parent enquiries through calls, WhatsApp, meetings and other communication channels.
- Conduct one-to-one counselling sessions and follow up with prospective students.
- Coordinate with university admission teams and internal application teams.
- Assist students with application procedures, documentation and admission requirements.
- Guide students regarding visa processes, financial documentation and pre-departure preparation.
- Follow up regularly with students from counselling through application,



admission and enrolment.
- Maintain accurate records of counselling sessions, student profiles, applications and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with telecallers and marketing executives to convert leads into counselling appointments and admissions.
- Participate in seminars, webinars, education fairs and student engagement activities.
- Maintain professional and ethical communication with students and parents.

Candidate Requirements

- Good communication skills in English and Tamil.
- Strong counselling and interpersonal skills.
- Confident and professional communication with students and parents.
- Good listening and convincing abilities.
- Ability to understand student requirements and recommend suitable options.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about study abroad destinations, universities, courses and admission processes.
- Good presentation and explanation skills.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to work with CRM, Excel and other digital tools.
- Good follow-up and relationship-management skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Target-oriented, responsible and professional approach towards work.

Candidates with previous experience in education counselling, study abroad, admissions, student recruitment, career counselling, telesales or customer service will be preferred.

Freshers with good communication skills, confidence and a strong interest in education counselling are also welcome to apply.
