Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Emergency Department Supervisor – Nursing to lead and coordinate nursing operations in the Emergency Department, ensuring secure, timely, patient-centred care and NABH-aligned clinical practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate day-to-day Emergency Nursing operations.
- Ensure appropriate staffing, duty allocation and smooth shift handovers.
- Monitor compliance with NABH standards, nursing protocols, infection control and patient safety practices.
- Ensure timely triage, assessment, documentation and escalation of critical patients.
- Coordinate effectively with Emergency Physicians, consultants and support departments.
- Ensure readiness and proper functioning of emergency equipment, crash carts and essential drugs.
- Monitor medication safety,
biomedical waste management and infection prevention practices.
- Monitor nursing documentation, incident reporting and quality indicators.
- Maintain discipline, professional conduct and high standards of patient care.
Eligibility:
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM with valid Nursing Council registration.
- 5 or more years of nursing experience, preferably with Emergency/Critical Care exposure.
- Supervisory experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Good communication, leadership and crisis-management skills.
- Knowledge of NABH standards and hospital quality practices will be an advantage.
