The Furniture Cost Estimator will study drawings, specifications, and BOQs, calculate material, hardware, labour, and finishing costs, and prepare accurate quotations. You will work closely with the sales, design, procurement, and production teams to make sure every estimate is precise, profitable, and delivered on time.

Key Responsibilities

- Study architectural and interior drawings, 2D/3D designs, specifications, and client requirements  Prepare detailed cost estimates and BOQs for modular kitchens, wardrobes, wooden furniture, and loose and fitted furniture
- Calculate quantities of boards (plywood, MDF, HDHMR, particle board), laminates, veneers, edge bands, hardware, fittings, accessories, and finishes
- Estimate labour, fabrication, installation, transport, wastage, and overhead costs
- Maintain updated rate lists for materials, hardware, and vendors; obtain and compare supplier quotations
- Prepare quotations and revised estimates as per design or scope changes
- Work with sales and design teams to optimize costs without compromising quality
- Check material take-offs, cutting lists, and the accuracy of drawings
- Coordinate with procurement and production teams on feasibility, lead times, and costing




- Track project costs against estimates and report variances
- Support tenders, negotiations, and client discussions on pricing
- Maintain organized records of estimates, quotations, and revisions

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Carpentry, Civil, Mechanical, Production Engineering, or a related field (graduates in any stream with relevant experience may also apply)
- 3–5 years of experience in furniture, modular kitchen, or interior estimation/costing
- Strong knowledge of furniture materials, hardware brands, finishes, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, layouts, and technical specifications
- Proficient in MS Excel (formulas, lookups, pivot tables); knowledge of AutoCAD, SketchUp, or estimation software is an advantage
- Strong analytical, numerical, and attention-to-detail skills
- Valuable communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage multiple estimates and meet deadlines

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
