Founded on 12th February 2005 by a group of BITS-Pilani students driven by a passion for humanity, Nirmaan works to fulfil our responsibility towards our less privileged brothers and sisters.
About the Role
We are looking for a Placement Coordinator with strong exposure to the IT and AI industry — someone who understands current tech hiring trends and can connect our students to real, relevant employment opportunities in this space.
Key Responsibilities
- Identifying placement requirements from the IT/AI market and industry
- Visiting companies and building relationships with IT/tech employers
- Participating in admission selection interviews
- Conducting Workplace Readiness training modules
- Providing personal counselling to students
- Accompanying students to interviews and supporting them through the hiring process
- Maintaining placement data/records for both employers and students
- Handling related documentation
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English, Hindi, and Telugu
- Strong understanding of the IT/AI industry — hiring trends, in-demand roles, and employer expectations
- A solid team player with the ability to place and support students effectively
- Graduate or Postgraduate; MBA (HR) preferred
- 1+ years of experience as a Placements Officer, specifically within the IT industry
- Willingness to spend time at the grassroots/community level regularly
