We are looking for an organized and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. In this role, you will assist with daily accounting tasks, reconcile bank statements, maintain financial records, and support month-end closing activities. Key Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Entry: Post daily financial transactions, journal entries, and general ledger updates into the accounting system.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process incoming vendor invoices, prepare outgoing client bills, and track payment schedules.
- Reconciliations: Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations, identifying and resolving any account discrepancies.
- Month-End Support: Assist the senior finance team with month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing trial balances and schedule reports.
- Expense Tracking:
Review employee expense reports and receipts to ensure compliance with company policies.
- Documentation & Filing: Maintain accurate physical and digital financial records for auditing and compliance purposes.
Key Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 0–2 years of accounting experience (entry-level candidates or accounting interns welcome).
- Technical Skills:
- High proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables).
- Working knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, SAP, or Xero).
- Core Competencies: Strong numerical aptitude, sharp attention to detail, and positive organizational skills.
- Communication: Ability to communicate clearly with internal teams and external vendors/clients.
