SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Location: Delhi NCR
Department: Design & Projects
Experience: 5+ Years
Employment Type: Full-Time
Reporting To: Senior Management

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a Senior Interior Designer who can take complete ownership of the design and coordination process—from understanding client requirements and developing concepts to drawings, BOQ, material selection, approvals and execution support.

The role involves managing HNI/luxury clients, guiding the design and drafting team, coordinating with technical, site, production, procurement and vendor teams, and ensuring projects progress as per the planned timeline.

This role is not limited to design. You will be responsible for making sure that the right design is approved, documented, communicated and executed on time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Client & Design Management

- Understand client requirements, lifestyle, preferences and expectations.
- Develop design concepts and present designs, materials and drawings.
- Manage client communication and obtain required approvals/sign-offs.
- Ensure all changes and decisions are properly documented.
- Maintain design intent throughout the project.

2. Design & Drawing Quality

- Lead the overall design development of assigned projects.
- Review 2D drawings, 3D views, furniture layouts, elevations, sections and details.
- Check designs for accuracy, functionality, ergonomics, dimensions and technical feasibility.
- Ensure drawings are complete, accurate and ready for execution.

3. BOQ & Material Selection

- Prepare and maintain project BOQs based on approved designs.
- Ensure quantities, materials, finishes, specifications and brands are correctly mentioned.
- Lead material selection with clients based on design, quality and budget.
- Prepare detailed shopping/procurement lists and obtain client approvals.

4. Team Management

- Assign work to designers, draftsmen and 3D/technical teams.
- Set clear priorities,

deadlines and expected deliverables.
- Review team output before moving to the next stage.
- Monitor productivity and address delays or bottlenecks.
- Conduct daily work reviews and track pending tasks.

5. Project Planning & Coordination

- Prepare and maintain the project roadmap from design to execution.
- Track activities, deadlines, dependencies and deliverables.
- Coordinate between:

Client → Design → Drafting → 3D → Technical → Procurement → Production → Site → Vendors

- Ensure teams are working with the latest approved information.
- Identify delays early, communicate them and create an action plan.

6. Drawing Package & Issuance

Ensure the required drawing package is completed and issued, including:

- Civil, POP, electrical, plumbing, AC and utility drawings
- Ceiling and tile layouts
- Modular and loose furniture drawings
- Elevations, sections and detailed interior drawings
- Material, colour, fabric, lighting and finish specifications
- Final procurement and finish requirements

All drawings must be internally checked, technically reviewed and approved before being issued for execution.

7. Furniture, Vendor & Procurement Coordination

- Finalise furniture layouts and obtain client sign-off.
- Coordinate furniture dimensions, site marking and production requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for samples, quotations, specifications and production.
- Follow up on procurement and material deliveries.
- Escalate delays and ensure vendors follow approved designs and specifications.

8. Site & Project Reviews

- Attend site visits as required.

- Conduct project kick-off and coordination meetings.
- Resolve design and technical queries at site.
- Check execution against approved drawings and designs.
- Conduct regular project and team review meetings.
- Present project status, delays, risks and required decisions to management.

9. Documentation & Approval Control

Maintain updated records of:

- Design files and drawing registers
- BOQs and material selections
- Client approvals and sign-offs
- Meeting notes and revision records
- Shopping lists, vendor details and project trackers

No design, drawing or material should move to production without the required approval.

Process:
Design → Internal Check → Technical Check → Client Approval → Final Documentation → Production

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Performance will be measured on:

- Design quality & accuracy
- Client satisfaction
- Drawing & BOQ accuracy
- Client approvals and sign-offs
- Team productivity
- Drawing delivery timelines
- Material and vendor coordination
- Procurement follow-up
- Project timeline management
- Technical coordination
- Execution support
- Documentation and reporting

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS ROLE

We are looking for someone who takes ownership rather than simply completing assigned tasks.

You should be able to understand:

What needs to happen → Who needs to do it → What approval is pending → What can cause a delay → What needs to happen next.

The core responsibility is simple:

Design it. Plan it. Get it approved. Document it. Coordinate it. Track it. And make sure it gets executed on time.

This version removes a lot of repetition while retaining the senior-level ownership, client handling, team management, drawings, BOQ, procurement, coordination and execution responsibilities that are significant for this role.

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
