- Design and prepare solar PV system layouts for rooftop, ground-mounted and industrial projects.
- Prepare detailed Array Layouts considering module placement, shading, orientation, tilt and site constraints.
- Prepare Earthing Layouts and lightning protection layouts as per applicable electrical safety standards.
- Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for DC and AC systems.
- Perform complete solar system designing and sizing, including module, inverter, DC/AC cable and transformer selection.
- Prepare DC and AC layouts, cable routing and equipment layouts.
- Conduct shadow analysis and string sizing based on project requirements.
- Prepare BOQ/BOM based on approved designs and project specifications.
- Coordinate with the Project, Procurement and Execution teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth site execution.
- Review site survey data and incorporate actual site conditions into engineering drawings.
- Prepare drawings required for CEIG/MSEDCL/MSETCL approvals, wherever applicable.
- Ensure designs comply with relevant IS standards, electrical safety requirements and client specifications.
- Revise drawings based on site requirements, client comments and consultant observations.
- Provide technical support to the execution team during installation and commissioning.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Solar PV System Design
- Must be proficient in AutoCAD
- Must know Array Layout & Module Layout
- Must know Earthing & Lightning Protection Layout
- Knowledge of SLD preparation
- Knowledge of DC/AC cable sizing and voltage-drop calculations
- Knowledge of Inverter and Module selection
- Knowledge of PVsyst is preferred
- Knowledge of SketchUp / Helioscope / other solar design software is an advantage
- Understanding of HT/LT electrical systems
- Good knowledge of solar EPC execution
- Ability to coordinate with clients, consultants and site teams
