JOB DESCRIPTION – SECURITY OFFICER

Position: Security Officer (SO)
Location: Ghanaram Mall, Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and responsible Security Officer to manage and supervise security operations at Ghanaram Mall, Jhansi. The candidate must have prior experience in mall security operations and should be capable of handling security personnel, visitors, emergencies, incidents and day-to-day security activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise and manage day-to-day security operations of the mall.
- Manage and monitor security guards, supervisors and other security staff.
- Ensure proper deployment of security personnel at all designated points.
- Monitor entry and exit of customers, employees, vendors and vehicles.
- Maintain effective access control and visitor management.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance and coordinate with the CCTV control room.
- Handle security incidents, theft, disputes, unauthorized entry and other emergencies.
- Coordinate with mall management, housekeeping, maintenance and other departments.
- Coordinate with Police, Fire Department, Ambulance and other emergency services whenever required.
- Conduct regular security rounds and inspections of the mall premises.
- Ensure compliance with mall security SOPs, rules and regulations.
- Prepare and maintain daily security reports, incident reports, shift reports and other required records.
- Monitor fire safety, emergency exits, evacuation routes and basic emergency preparedness.
- Ensure proper functioning and monitoring of security equipment.




- Conduct briefing and training of security guards regarding mall security procedures.
- Handle customer complaints and security-related issues professionally.
- Maintain discipline and ensure proper grooming and conduct of all security personnel.
- Take immediate and appropriate action during emergencies such as fire, medical emergencies, fights, theft or other security threats.
- Perform any other security-related duties assigned by the Mall Management.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in security operations.
- Prior experience in Mall / Shopping Mall security is mandatory.
- Experience in handling a large security team will be an added advantage.
- Valuable knowledge of access control, CCTV surveillance and emergency response procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle pressure and emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office/report preparation will be preferred.
- Candidates with experience in mall, retail, commercial or high-footfall properties will be preferred.
- Physically fit, disciplined and well-groomed.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Ex-Defence / Police / Security background candidates may be preferred.
- Candidates having hands-on experience in mall security operations will be given priority.
- Should have good leadership and team-management skills.
- Should be capable of coordinating with mall management and external agencies.

Shift & Other Requirements

- Candidate must be willing to work in rotational shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per mall operations.
- Immediate joiners / candidates with relevant mall security experience will be preferred.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹42,000.00 per month
