We are looking for an experienced and people-oriented HR Manager to manage and supervise the complete HR function of the organisation and ensure effective implementation of HR policies, processes, employee engagement, compliance, and people management across our branches.

Job Summary

The HR Manager will be responsible for end-to-end HR operations, covering the complete employee lifecycle from manpower planning and recruitment to onboarding, performance management, employee engagement, retention, statutory compliance, attendance, payroll coordination, and separation.

The role requires a strong HR professional with excellent interpersonal skills, strong employee-relations capabilities, leadership ability, confidentiality, and hands-on experience in HR operations.

The candidate should be comfortable working with employees across multiple branches and should be willing to travel to different Edwin Academy locations whenever required.

Key Responsibilities

1. End-to-End HR Operations

* Manage and supervise the complete HR operations of Edwin Academy.

* Ensure smooth implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems.

* Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation.

* Handle employee lifecycle activities from joining to exit.

* Coordinate with management and branch teams on all HR-related matters.

* Ensure consistent implementation of HR practices across all branches.

2. Recruitment & Talent Acquisition

* Manage end-to-end recruitment activities for academic, administrative, sales, placement, and support functions.

* Understand manpower requirements and coordinate with department/branch heads.

* Prepare and publish job descriptions and recruitment requirements.

* Source, screen, shortlist, interview, and coordinate the selection process.

* Manage offer, salary discussion, reference verification, and appointment formalities.

* Build and maintain a strong talent pipeline for current and future requirements.

3. Onboarding & Induction

* Conduct and coordinate employee onboarding and joining formalities.

* Ensure proper documentation and verification of new employees.

* Coordinate employee induction and orientation programs.

* Ensure employees understand company policies, procedures, expectations, and workplace standards.

* Coordinate probation tracking and confirmation processes.

4. Employee Relations

* Build and maintain strong and positive employee relationships.

* Act as a trusted point of contact for employees regarding HR-related matters.

* Address employee concerns, grievances, conflicts, and workplace issues professionally.

* Promote a healthy, respectful, and professional work environment.

* Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee matters.

* Support management in resolving employee-related issues fairly and effectively.

5. Attendance & Leave Management

* Monitor employee attendance, punctuality, leave,



late coming, early leaving, and absenteeism.

* Ensure proper implementation of attendance and leave policies.

* Coordinate attendance regularisation and approval processes.

* Monitor branch-level attendance and identify recurring attendance issues.

* Ensure timely and accurate attendance data for payroll processing.

6. Payroll & Compensation Coordination

* Coordinate monthly payroll processing and ensure accurate payroll inputs.

* Verify attendance, leave, deductions, incentives, overtime, and other payroll-related information.

* Coordinate with finance/accounts for timely salary processing.

* Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and payroll information.

* Address employee payroll-related queries and coordinate resolutions.

7. Statutory Compliance

* Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws, statutory requirements, and employment regulations.

* Maintain statutory HR records and documentation.

* Coordinate statutory registrations, returns, renewals, and compliance requirements wherever applicable.

* Keep management informed about important changes in applicable employment regulations.

* Coordinate with external consultants/agencies whenever required.

8. Employee Engagement & Culture

* Plan and execute employee engagement initiatives across branches.

* Conduct employee interaction sessions and HR meetings.

* Support the development of a positive organisational culture.

* Coordinate employee welfare initiatives, celebrations, recognition programs, and team-building activities.

* Promote employee participation and a healthy workplace environment.

9. Performance Management

* Coordinate employee performance appraisal and review processes.

* Support managers and department heads in setting performance expectations.

* Monitor probation and confirmation evaluations.

* Identify performance-related concerns and coordinate improvement plans.

* Maintain proper performance documentation.

10. Employee Retention

* Identify employee concerns and factors affecting retention.

* Conduct employee feedback and engagement discussions.

* Develop and implement appropriate retention initiatives.

* Monitor employee turnover and analyse reasons for attrition.

* Work closely with management and department heads to improve employee satisfaction and retention.

11. HR Policies & Documentation

* Develop, implement, review, and update HR policies and procedures.

* Ensure employees are aware of and comply with organisational policies.

* Maintain appointment letters, agreements, HR forms, employee files, and other documentation.

* Ensure proper documentation of warnings, disciplinary actions, promotions, transfers, confirmations, and other employee movements.

12. Branch HR Management





* Support and monitor HR activities across all Edwin Academy branches.

* Conduct branch visits as required.

* Ensure uniform HR practices and policies across branches.

* Interact with branch managers, team leaders, faculty, and employees.

* Identify branch-level HR issues and recommend appropriate solutions.

13. Exit & Separation Management

* Manage resignation, notice period, clearance, and exit formalities.

* Conduct exit interviews and document employee feedback.

* Coordinate full-and-final settlement with relevant departments.

* Ensure proper handover and closure of employee records.

* Analyse exit trends and recommend retention improvements.

14. HR Reporting & MIS

* Prepare and submit regular HR reports to management.

* Maintain HR dashboards and employee databases.

* Monitor headcount, recruitment status, attrition, attendance, leave, vacancies, and other HR metrics.

* Provide management with timely HR insights and recommendations.

Educational Qualification

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.

* MBA/Master's degree in HR or a relevant discipline will be an added advantage.

Experience

* Relevant experience in HR Operations / HR Management / Generalist HR / Employee Relations.

* Experience handling end-to-end HR activities is strongly preferred.

* Experience managing HR functions across multiple branches or locations will be an advantage.

* Experience in the education, training, healthcare, service, or other people-intensive sectors will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a hands-on HR professional and people leader, not merely an administrative HR executive.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently managing the complete HR function, maintaining strong employee relationships, implementing HR systems and policies, supporting management decisions, resolving employee issues, and ensuring consistent HR practices across all Edwin Academy branches.

Strong employee relations, ownership, maturity, confidentiality, and the ability to deal effectively with people are essential for this position.
