- Inspect incoming raw materials (especially Nylon/Polyamides, UV stabilizers) and test finished cable ties for dimensional accuracy, flexibility, and loop tensile strength.
- Monitor high-cavity injection molding parameters to prevent defects such as flash, brittleness, short shots, or weak locking mechanisms.
- Conduct routine physical testing using tensile testing machines and insertion force gauges.
- Investigate production rejections and perform root cause analysis (8D, Why-Why) to implement CAPA.
- Maintain essential quality documentation and ensure adherence to ISO standards.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Plastics Engineering, Polymer Science, or Mechanical Engineering (CIPET background preferred).
- 2 to 5 years of QA/QC experience in plastic injection molding, ideally with high-volume small components or fasteners.
- Robust practical knowledge of engineering plastics (like Nylon 66), molding defects, and destructive/non-destructive testing methods.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools and standard quality problem-solving techniques.
