Job Summary
NB Entrepreneurs is looking for an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager – Manufacturing to lead the maintenance and engineering function at our manufacturing facility.
The role will be responsible for ensuring high equipment availability, minimum downtime, preventive and predictive maintenance, breakdown management, utility reliability, safety compliance, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have solid technical expertise, leadership skills, and experience managing maintenance operations in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities1. Maintenance Management
- Plan, implement, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure maximum availability and reliability of production machinery and equipment.
- Lead breakdown maintenance and ensure quick resolution of critical equipment failures.
- Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedules and checklists.
- Monitor equipment condition and identify potential failures before they impact production.
2. Production & Equipment Reliability
- Work closely with the Production team to minimize machine downtime and production losses.
- Ensure critical machines and systems are maintained as per defined standards.
- Monitor MTBF, MTTR, equipment availability, breakdown hours, and maintenance costs.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major and repetitive equipment failures.
- Drive initiatives to improve machine reliability, productivity, and overall equipment effectiveness.
3. Preventive & Predictive Maintenance
- Develop annual, monthly, and weekly preventive maintenance plans.
- Ensure timely execution and documentation of scheduled maintenance activities.
- Introduce condition-monitoring and predictive-maintenance practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain accurate maintenance history for all critical equipment.
4. Utilities & Infrastructure
- Oversee maintenance of plant utilities such as electrical systems, compressors, DG sets, HVAC, pumps, boilers, water systems, and other utility equipment, as applicable.
- Ensure reliable operation of essential plant infrastructure.
- Monitor utility consumption and identify opportunities for energy and cost savings.
5. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the maintenance team, including engineers, technicians, and contract manpower.
- Allocate manpower and maintenance activities effectively.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and technical training for team members.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, discipline, ownership, and continuous improvement.
6. Spare Parts & Maintenance Cost Control
- Identify and maintain adequate inventory of critical spare parts.
- Coordinate with Procurement for timely sourcing of maintenance spares and services.
- Control maintenance expenses without compromising equipment reliability or safety.
- Maintain appropriate records of spare consumption and equipment history.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and statutory requirements.
- Implement safe work practices, including LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), electrical safety, work permits, and PPE requirements.
- Participate in safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
- Ensure maintenance-related statutory inspections and certifications are completed on time.
8. Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support installation,
commissioning, modification, and expansion of plant machinery and equipment.
- Evaluate technical requirements for new machines and equipment.
- Drive initiatives related to cost reduction, energy efficiency, automation, reliability improvement, and preventive maintenance.
- Implement 5S, TPM, Kaizen, and other continuous-improvement initiatives where applicable.

Candidate ProfileEducation
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
- Additional certification in maintenance management, TPM, reliability engineering, or related areas will be an advantage.
Experience
- 8–12 years of relevant experience in maintenance within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial maintenance role preferred.
- Experience handling production machinery, utilities, electrical/mechanical systems, and maintenance teams will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance knowledge.
- Preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance expertise.
- Good understanding of RCA, FMEA, TPM, 5S, and Kaizen.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience with maintenance planning and CMMS/ERP systems.
- Good vendor and contractor management skills.
- Strong team-management and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and respond effectively to critical breakdowns.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, reliability, and cost optimization.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
