Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Engineer with strong sourcing and vendor-management experience in fabrication parts, machining components, granite, and trading items. The ideal candidate should have a good technical understanding of engineering components, solid supplier networks, negotiation skills, and the ability to manage procurement activities from RFQ through delivery.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable suppliers for fabricated parts, machined components, granite products, and trading items.
- Source materials and components based on technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and project requirements.
- Float RFQs, compare quotations, negotiate prices, and achieve competitive commercial terms.
- Develop and maintain a strong vendor base across India.
- Analyse supplier quotations, including material cost, machining/fabrication charges, tooling, transportation, taxes, and other applicable costs.
- Coordinate with engineering and quality teams to understand technical requirements and resolve supplier-related technical issues.
- Review drawings and specifications to ensure suppliers understand required dimensions, tolerances, materials, finishes, and quality standards.
- Identify cost-reduction and value-engineering opportunities through alternate suppliers, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.
- Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery as per project schedules.
- Follow up with suppliers regarding production status, inspection, dispatch, and delivery.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for supplier inspection, first-piece approval, and quality-related issues.
- Handle supplier negotiations related to price, payment terms, lead time, MOQ, quality, packaging, and delivery.




- Develop alternate sources for critical and high-value components to minimize supply-chain risks.
- Monitor supplier performance based on quality, cost, delivery, responsiveness, and service.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, quotation comparisons, purchase orders, and cost-analysis reports.
- Support inventory planning and ensure materials are procured according to project and production requirements.

Category-Specific Experience

Fabrication Parts

- Experience sourcing fabricated components such as MS/SS structures, frames, brackets, enclosures, laser-cut/bent components, welded assemblies, and structural parts.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including cutting, bending, welding, grinding, powder coating, painting, and surface finishing.

Machining Parts

- Experience sourcing CNC/VMC/turning/milling components and precision machined parts.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings, tolerances, materials, surface finishes, and machining processes.
- Familiarity with materials such as MS, SS, aluminium, brass, EN-series steels, and other engineering materials.

Granite

- Experience in sourcing granite slabs, blocks, cut-to-size components, polished/finished granite parts, or granite-related products.
- Ability to evaluate suppliers based on quality, dimensions, finish, color/texture consistency, wastage, packaging,



and delivery.
- Experience negotiating with granite manufacturers, processors, and traders is preferred.

Trading Items

- Experience sourcing a wide range of standard/trading items, industrial consumables, hardware, fasteners, electrical/mechanical items, tools, and other project requirements.
- Ability to identify suitable distributors, dealers, manufacturers, and importers.

Required Skills

- Strong vendor development and supplier sourcing capabilities.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
- Good understanding of manufacturing and engineering processes.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong cost-analysis and quotation-comparison skills.
- Good knowledge of Indian supplier markets and manufacturing clusters.
- Strong follow-up and supplier relationship management skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP/MRP systems, and procurement software.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple procurement requirements simultaneously.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant procurement/sourcing experience, preferably in engineering/ manufacturing/ project-based organizations.
- Candidates with proven supplier networks and sourcing experience in fabrication, machining, granite, and trading items will be preferred.

Pay: ₹37,000.00 - ₹48,000.00 per month
