Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and patient Silai Trainer (Tailoring & Sewing Instructor) to conduct vocational training classes for juvenile residents at our Baal Sudhar Grah. The primary goal of this role is to equip residents with practical tailoring, stitching, and garment-making skills to promote self-reliance, positive engagement, and smooth reintegration into society upon release.

Key Responsibilities

- Practical Skill Training: Teach basic to advanced tailoring techniques, including fabric measurement, pattern drafting, cutting, stitching, and finishing of various garments.
- Machine Operation & Maintenance: Train residents on how to safely operate, clean, and maintain domestic and industrial sewing machines.
- Curriculum Execution: Deliver structured, hands-on training sessions aligned with recognized vocational certification standards (e.g., NSDC/ITI guidelines).




- Trauma-Informed & Mentoring Support: Maintain an empathetic, disciplined, and encouraging learning setting suited for adolescents under care.
- Inventory & Safety Management: Track raw materials (cloth, thread, needles, tools) and enforce strict safety standards during training sessions.
- Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor individual learning progress, maintain attendance records, and provide monthly skill assessment reports to the administration.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Education: Certificate/Diploma/ITI in Tailoring, Dress Making, Fashion Designing, or Garment Technology.
- Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in tailoring instruction or vocational training. Prior experience working with NGOs, community development programs, or government care institutions is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong practical knowledge of garment construction, excellent patience, class management, and active communication skills.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹12,000.00 per month
