Job Description — General Duty Assistant (GDA) - Trainer

Location: Nagaland

Salary: ₹20,000/month

Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in DDU-GKY projects, preferably in the healthcare/skill-development sector.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Training & GDA Skill Development

- Conduct theory and practical training for GDA students as per the approved DDU-GKY curriculum and training plan.
- Train students in patient care, hygiene, grooming, feeding, mobility, bed making, positioning, and patient safety.
- Conduct demonstrations, role plays, simulations, and hands-on practical sessions.
- Complete the assigned syllabus and training hours within the project timeline.

2. Student Assessment & Competency Development

- Conduct regular tests, practical assessments, mock assessments, and revision sessions.
- Monitor student performance and identify learning gaps.
- Provide additional support and corrective training to weak learners.
- Prepare students for applicable assessment, certification, and employment requirements.

3. DDU-GKY Compliance & Documentation

- Follow applicable DDU-GKY/SRLM guidelines, SOPs, and project requirements.
- Maintain attendance, lesson plans, session plans, assessment records, and student competency records.
- Provide accurate training-related information to the MIS/Project Team.
- Support monitoring visits, inspections, audits, and quality checks.

4. Student Support,



Retention & Placement Readiness

- Monitor attendance, discipline, participation, and overall student progress.
- Motivate students to complete the training and support retention.
- Develop students’ communication, professional behavior, interview skills, and workplace readiness.
- Coordinate with the Project Coordinator, Centre Head, Mobilization, MIS, and Placement Teams.

5. Documentation & MIS Support

- Maintain lesson plans, session plans, attendance sheets, assessment records, and practical records.
- Provide accurate training-related information to the MIS/Project Team.
- Ensure timely submission of required reports and documentation.
- Keep training records ready for verification and audit purposes.
- Support documentation related to student assessment, certification, and placement.

Eligibility

- Relevant GDA/Healthcare Assistant certification or training.
- Minimum 2 years of DDU-GKY project experience is mandatory.
- Healthcare/hospital experience will be preferred.
- Valuable communication, teamwork and patient-handling skills.
