MSMEs contribute significantly to India’s total GDP. 90% of India’s ~$1 Trillion Retail Market is controlled by Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Which means ~$900B worth of commerce flows through these ~60M MSMEs in the form of shops/kiosks/homes, scattered all over the country. We at Khatabook, have a vision to empower MSMEs and help them increase their incomes. We have built a product that brings efficiency in MSME operations by providing them easy to use tools to manage their receivables, inventory and billing which creates transparency in their cash flow. Within the Khatabook platform, we have also enabled the facility to take loans for their short term working capital needs for select Khatabook users that are displaying good credit behavior. Our app has been downloaded over 100 Million times with a monthly active user base of 8 Million+ which are adding 220 Million+ transactions with a transaction value of $18 Billion.

Your role

We, at Khatabook, are looking to hire a Senior Product Manager for our SaaS POD.

As a Senior Product Manager, you will own a significant product area and work closely with engineering, design, data and business teams to build and scale SaaS products for businesses. You will be responsible for understanding customer problems, defining product strategy, prioritising opportunities and driving execution from discovery to launch and beyond.

This role requires someone who can balance customer needs, business outcomes and technical constraints, and is comfortable taking end-to-end ownership of a product area.

What would you do at Khatabook

- You’ll be responsible for identifying initiatives & creating a product roadmap to execute on the product strategy for your squad.

- Own the product vision,



strategy and roadmap for your product area in the SaaS POD.

- You’ll work with product analysts & talk to users to understand their workflows, pain points and unmet needs and build/validate different hypotheses.

- Work closely with the product design team to craft something better than any other alternatives in the market.

- You’ll work with the engineering team to put a launch plan together and roll out new products & drive adoption and measure business impact.

- You will work with your product lead & business counterpart to shape the product strategy. You will look at data, competitive landscape, talk to users, take inputs from other stakeholders, use first principles thinking.

- Define and track key product metrics across adoption, engagement, retention and business impact.

- Use data and experimentation to validate hypotheses and continuously improve the product.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to make effective product and technical trade-offs while keeping scalability and long-term product health in mind.

- Work with business and other cross-functional teams to understand market requirements and drive product adoption.

- Drive product launches end-to-end, including planning, stakeholder alignment, execution and post-launch measurement.

- Continuously evaluate the competitive landscape and identify opportunities to differentiate our products.

- You will work closely with your team to ensure we’re being data oriented, have a high bar for user experience & enable the right processes for collaboration to meet this bar.

- Build strong relationships across teams and create alignment around product priorities and outcomes.

- Iterate & Repeat.

What are we looking for :

- You have 3–5 years of experience in Product Management, preferably with experience building and scaling B2B SaaS products.





- You have strong product sense and are extremely solid at first principles thinking.

- You enjoy building businesses & not just product features.

- You are passionate about building beautiful & intuitive products.

- You have a high sense of ownership and the ability to drive initiatives independently in an ambiguous setting.

- You’re able to rally your & others teams behind your vision.

- You are comfortable working with data and using quantitative and qualitative insights to make product decisions.

- You have experience working closely with Engineering and Design teams to take products from discovery to execution.

- You have a strong understanding of SaaS product metrics such as adoption, activation, engagement, retention and conversion.

- You have strong communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to influence teams without direct authority.

- You have a bias towards action and the ability to move quickly while maintaining a high bar for product quality.

- You are passionate about building products that solve meaningful customer and business problems.
