Job Description:
We are looking for a VMC Operator with 0 to 3 years of experience to operate Vertical Machining Centre machines and support daily production activities. Freshers with relevant ITI/Diploma qualification and basic VMC knowledge can also apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate VMC machines safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload components as per production requirements.
- Follow engineering drawings, work instructions and process sheets.
- Perform basic tool changes and tool offset corrections.
- Check component dimensions using Vernier Caliper, Micrometer and Gauges.
- Monitor machining operations and maintain required quality.
- Identify dimensional variations, tool wear and basic machine issues.
- Maintain production targets and minimize rejection/rework.
- Follow safety procedures, 5S and shop-floor discipline.
- Maintain machine and work area cleanliness.
- Report machine/tool-related issues to the supervisor.
Qualification:
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical / Machinist / Production / Manufacturing or related field.
- 0–3 years of experience in VMC operation.
- Freshers with basic VMC knowledge/training can also apply.
Required Skills:
- Basic knowledge of VMC machine operation.
- Basic understanding of engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of tool offset and work offset.
- Willingness to work 10-hour shifts.
- Valuable attendance, discipline and learning attitude.
- Fanuc / Mitsubishi control knowledge will be an added advantage.
