Bright Health Alliance is hiring a Charge Entry Associate with at least 1+ year of experience in US Healthcare Medical Billing and strong hands-on experience using eClinicalWorks (eCW).
The candidate will be responsible for accurate charge entry, claim creation, demographic and insurance review, CPT/ICD validation, modifier entry, and timely submission of claims.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform accurate charge entry in eClinicalWorks (eCW).
- Create and review claims before submission.
- Enter and validate CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, units, POS, and provider details.
- Review patient demographics and insurance information for accuracy.
- Verify documentation before entering charges.
- Identify missing or incorrect billing information and coordinate for correction.
- Ensure charges are entered within defined turnaround times.
- Review claims for potential billing errors before submission.
- Work on claim edits and resolve basic charge-related rejections.
- Follow payer-specific and client-specific billing guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy and productivity standards.
- Coordinate with coding, AR, insurance verification, and other RCM teams when required.
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1+ year of experience in US Healthcare Charge Entry / Medical Billing.
- Hands-on eClinicalWorks (eCW) experience is mandatory.
- Candidates must be comfortable working independently in the eCW billing module.
- Good knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, modifiers, units, and Place of Service (POS).
- Understanding of claim creation and submission processes.
- Knowledge of insurance billing and basic claim edits.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
