Production Design Engineer Location: Mumbai Experience: 2–5 Years Accommodation: Provided Job Summary We are looking for a Production Design Engineer who can manage both Mechanical Design and Production activities. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with mechanical design, manufacturing processes, and shop-floor coordination. Key Responsibilities - Design and develop mechanical components and products. - Create 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Prepare BOMs, fabrication drawings, and production drawings. - Coordinate with the production and shop-floor teams. - Support CNC/VMC machining, laser cutting, bending, welding, and fabrication activities. - Develop prototypes and make design modifications based on production requirements. - Identify and resolve design and manufacturing-related issues. - Ensure designs are practical and suitable for manufacturing. - Support dimensional inspection and quality control activities. - Coordinate with vendors and suppliers when required. - Improve production processes, designs,
and product quality. Required Skills - Solid knowledge of SolidWorks and AutoCAD. - Good understanding of mechanical drawings and GD&T.; - Knowledge of CNC/VMC machining and manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, laser cutting, bending, and welding. - Understanding of BOM preparation and production drawings. - Good problem-solving and shop-floor coordination skills. - Ability to work independently and take responsibility for both design and production activities.
