General Description
- Manage SSH key discovery, onboarding, rotation, monitoring, remediation, and lifecycle management activities in accordance with organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, Linux/Unix, DevOps, and application teams to support SSH key governance, compliance, automation, and access control initiatives.
- Perform incident resolution, root cause analysis, reporting, and operational support to ensure the security, availability, and compliance of SSH key management services.

General Description
- Manage SSH key discovery, onboarding, rotation, monitoring, remediation, and lifecycle management activities in accordance with organizational security policies.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, Linux/Unix, DevOps, and application teams to support SSH key governance, compliance, automation, and access control initiatives.
- Perform incident resolution, root cause analysis, reporting, and operational support to ensure the security, availability, and compliance of SSH key management services.
Technical Requirements
- Strong understanding of SSH protocol, SSH authentication mechanisms, public/private key cryptography, and certificate-based authentication.
- Experience with enterprise SSH Key Management solutions such as Universal SSH Key Manager (UKM), Venafi SSH Protect, Keyfactor, SSH Communications Security, HashiCorp Vault, CyberArk, or equivalent platforms.
- Hands-on experience in SSH key discovery, inventory management, onboarding, rotation, expiration management, and remediation of orphaned or unauthorized keys.
- Experience managing the complete SSH key lifecycle, including generation, distribution, deployment, renewal, revocation, and retirement.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and administration of SSH services across enterprise environments.
- Experience supporting SSH key compliance initiatives and implementing security controls based on industry’s best practices.
- Knowledge of identity stores and authentication services including Active Directory, LDAP, Kerberos, PAM (Pluggable Authentication Modules), and MFA solutions.
- Experience integrating SSH Key Management solutions with SIEM, ticketing, monitoring,
and ITSM platforms.
- Hands-on experience with scripting and automation using Shell Scripting, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible to support SSH key management processes.
- Familiarity with cloud and hybrid environments including AWS, Azure, GCP, and Kubernetes, with an understanding of secure machine-to-machine authentication.
- Experience working with server environments, network devices, appliances, databases, and applications that utilize SSH-based authentication.
- Knowledge of audit, compliance, and regulatory requirements related to privileged access and cryptographic key management.
- Understand security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001, SOX, PCI-DSS, and GDPR.
- Ability to perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and issue resolution related to SSH authentication, key management, and access control.
- Experience with change management, documentation, reporting, and operational governance processes.
Soft Skills
- Excellent Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Ability to present solutions to clients remotely and in person if needed.
- Good documentation skills that will enable creation of design documents for the technical solutions proposed.
