Job Summary

Eco Friendly Tech Solutions is looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated Medical Coding Trainer to deliver practical and industry-oriented training to students and aspiring medical coding professionals.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of medical coding, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS, along with the ability to explain concepts clearly and train learners through practical case-based exercises.

Candidates with prior EdTech, medical coding training, healthcare BPO, medical billing, or healthcare process experience will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom-based, practical training sessions in Medical Coding and Healthcare Documentation.
- Train students on medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and healthcare documentation.
- Teach coding concepts and guidelines related to:
- ICD-10-CM
- CPT
- HCPCS
- Medical terminology
- Anatomy and physiology
- Diagnosis and procedure coding
- Healthcare documentation
- Coding guidelines and conventions
- Explain coding concepts using practical medical records, scenarios, and case studies.
- Train students to review and interpret medical documentation accurately.
- Guide learners through real-world coding exercises and practical assignments.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, assignments, assessments, quizzes, and mock coding exercises.
- Conduct regular assessments to evaluate student understanding and coding accuracy.
- Provide individual feedback, mentoring, and academic support to learners.
- Prepare students for medical coding certification examinations,



where applicable.
- Conduct mock tests, coding assessments, and interview-preparation sessions.
- Help students develop job-ready knowledge and practical skills for medical coding roles.
- Support learners with resume preparation, interview preparation, and career guidance.
- Coordinate with the academic and placement teams to align training with current industry requirements.
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, performance reports, and training documentation.
- Conduct workshops, seminars, webinars, and career-oriented sessions when required.
- Stay updated with changes in coding guidelines, healthcare documentation practices, and industry standards.

Requirements

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Allied Health Sciences, Medical Coding, Health Information Management, or a related healthcare field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Medical Coding, Medical Billing, Healthcare BPO, or Medical Coding Training.
- EdTech or training experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
- Good understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and pathology.
- Knowledge of healthcare documentation and coding guidelines.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain medical and coding concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Good classroom management and student engagement skills.




- Ability to work from the office and conduct in-person training sessions.

Preferred Certifications

Candidates with any of the following certifications will have an added advantage:

- AAPC – CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
- AHIMA – CCS (Certified Coding Specialist)
- CCA (Certified Coding Associate)
- Other recognized medical coding or health information management certifications

Candidates with prior EdTech experience or experience delivering classroom-based medical coding training will be preferred.
