House Manager

Location: DLF The Camellias, Golf Course Road, Gurgaon
Employment Type: Full-time, Live-out
Working Schedule: 12 hours per day, inclusive of breaks | 1 weekly off

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and responsible House Manager to take complete ownership of the day-to-day operations of a private residence. The ideal candidate will have strong household management experience, excellent people-management skills, and the ability to independently oversee the residence and domestic staff.

The role requires someone who is hands-on, organised, courteous, and capable of maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, presentation, and household operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Take complete ownership of the day-to-day running and smooth functioning of the residence.
- Manage, supervise, and coordinate domestic staff, including housekeeping, chef, and other household personnel.
- Allocate duties, monitor performance, and ensure household staff maintain high standards of service and conduct.
- Identify staffing requirements and recruit additional household staff whenever required.
- Manage household vendors, contractors, and external service providers.
- Oversee household inventory, procurement, supplies, and day-to-day household expenses.
- Ensure the residence is consistently maintained to high standards of cleanliness, upkeep, presentation, and functionality.
- Coordinate household maintenance and promptly address operational requirements.
- Manage household routines, schedules, and requirements with discretion and attention to detail.
- Ensure the residence can operate smoothly and independently when family members are travelling or away for extended periods.
- Coordinate staffing, logistics, and household preparations during family visits and stays.




- Understand and accommodate the preferences, routines, and requirements of family members with professionalism and courtesy.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding all household and family matters.
- Take proactive ownership of issues and ensure timely resolution without requiring constant supervision.

Required Experience

- Minimum 5+ years of experience in residential management, household management, estate management, hospitality, or a similar role.
- Experience managing domestic staff and multiple household functions is essential.
- A background in luxury hospitality, hotel management, private residences, or estate management will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience managing high-end private residences will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a mature, hands-on, and responsible House Manager who can independently manage the residence, lead household staff, coordinate vendors and services, and ensure the smooth functioning of all household operations.

Candidates must be based in Gurgaon or be willing to commute daily to DLF The Camellias.
