About the Company

We are a growing Canadian trucking company based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and we are looking for an experienced and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will have practical, hands-on experience working directly with shippers and customers and a strong understanding of the day-to-day operations involved in freight transportation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, proactive, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced trucking environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate and manage daily freight and transportation activities.
- Communicate directly with shippers, customers, and carriers to coordinate shipments.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with shippers and customers.
- Arrange pickups and deliveries while ensuring shipments move efficiently and on schedule.
- Monitor shipment status and proactively address delays, scheduling issues, and operational challenges.
- Coordinate with drivers to provide accurate pickup, delivery, and load information.
- Obtain and manage freight details, including pickup and delivery appointments, locations, and special requirements.
- Negotiate and coordinate freight movements with customers and transportation partners as required.
- Maintain accurate shipment records, documentation, and operational information.
- Follow up with customers and shippers regarding shipment updates and delivery requirements.
- Assist with resolving service issues and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the operations team to improve efficiency and maximize equipment utilization.




- Perform other logistics and administrative duties related to daily transportation operations.

Qualifications & Experience

- Hands-on experience working with shippers is required.
- Previous experience in trucking, freight transportation, logistics, dispatch, or freight coordination is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the Canadian trucking and transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with shippers and customers.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable communicating with drivers, customers, shippers, and transportation partners.
- Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and transportation/logistics software.
- Knowledge of Canadian freight lanes and trucking operations is an asset.
