Code_V is looking for a VFX Artist to join our game development team!

We’re currently working on Gaia Genesis, a multiplayer hero-shooter featuring unique otherworldly animals, each with their own abilities, personalities, and visual identity.

Code_V is looking for a passionate VFX Artist to join our team and help us build exciting multiplayer gaming experiences.

NOTE : THIS IS GOING TO BE A PROFIT SHARING ROLE. I.E. THE VOLUNTEER WILL BE GETTING THE COMPENSATION AFTER THE RELEASE OF THE GAME FOR UPTO 8 YEARS

What You'll Be Working On

As a Game VFX Artist, you will be responsible for creating VFX for:

- Character abilities and ultimate abilities
- Basic attacks, projectiles, and impact effects
- Explosions, energy bursts, beams, and magical effects
- Environmental and world effects
- Hit effects, damage feedback, and status effects
- Elemental effects such as fire, ice, electricity, nature, energy, etc.
- Teleports, dashes, shields, healing, buffs, and debuffs
- Character spawn, death, and ability activation effects
- UI/gameplay feedback effects where required
- Special effects for trailers and promotional content

What We're Looking For





- Experience creating VFX for games
- Solid understanding of timing, anticipation, impact, and visual readability
- Ability to create effects that feel powerful while remaining clear during gameplay
- Good understanding of particles, shaders, materials, animation, lighting, and textures
- Strong sense of color, composition, scale, and motion
- Ability to work within a stylized fantasy/sci-fi visual direction
- Understanding of performance optimization for real-time VFX
- Ability to take a concept or gameplay requirement and turn it into a polished game-ready effect
