Key Roles and Responsibilities:

- Design and Layout: Create detailed plans, blueprints, and riser diagrams for potable water distribution, sanitary waste systems, and storm drainage using AutoCAD or Revit software.
- System Calculations: Analyze and calculate water pressure, flow rates, pump sizes, and pipe sizing to ensure optimal performance.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure all plumbing designs adhere to local, state, and international building codes, health regulations, and safety standards (e.g., backflow prevention).
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with architects and HVAC/structural engineers to integrate plumbing systems into building constraints (e.g., vertical shafts, ceiling voids).
- Construction Administration: Perform site visits, conduct inspections, resolve technical issues, and approve shop drawings to ensure the system is installed correctly and according to design documents.
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Develop cost estimates for materials and labor, manage plumbing budgets, and review contractor invoices.
