1. Job Purpose
To supervise the day-to-day operations of the warehouse and ensure proper receipt, storage, handling, inventory control and dispatch of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods and other warehouse items while maintaining accuracy, hygiene, safety and operational efficiency.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Warehouse Operations
- Supervise daily warehouse activities including receiving, checking, storing, picking and issuing materials.
- Ensure proper stacking, labelling and identification of all materials.
- Maintain systematic storage locations and ensure optimum utilization of warehouse space.
- Ensure materials are stored under appropriate temperature, hygiene and safety conditions wherever required.
- Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping standards within the warehouse.
B. Material Receipt & Verification
- Receive raw materials, packaging materials, consumables and other supplies against purchase orders / delivery documents.
- Verify quantity, item description, batch/lot number, expiry date and physical condition of materials.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Quality and Production teams for any discrepancies or quality-related issues.
- Ensure proper documentation of inward materials.
C. Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate stock records and ensure physical stock matches system records.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and report discrepancies immediately.
- Follow FIFO / FEFO principles wherever applicable, particularly for food and packaging materials.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and highlight shortages or excess stock.
- Track near-expiry, slow-moving and damaged materials and report the same to management.
D. Material Issue & Production Support
- Issue raw materials and packaging materials to production based on authorized material requisitions.
- Ensure proper quantity and item verification before issuing materials.
- Coordinate with Production and other departments to ensure timely availability of required materials.
- Maintain proper records of material issues and returns.
E.
Finished Goods & Dispatch
- Coordinate with Production and Sales/Dispatch teams for receipt and movement of finished goods.
- Ensure finished goods are properly packed, labelled and stored.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO during dispatch wherever applicable.
- Verify quantities and documentation before dispatch.
- Coordinate with transporters and dispatch personnel for timely movement of goods.
F. Food Safety, Hygiene & Quality
- Ensure warehouse operations comply with applicable food safety and hygiene standards.
- Prevent contamination, pest infestation, moisture damage and improper storage of food-related materials.
- Ensure damaged, rejected or expired materials are properly segregated and identified.
- Coordinate with the Quality team for quarantine, rejection or disposal of materials where required.
- Ensure employees follow required PPE and hygiene practices.
G. Team Supervision
- Supervise warehouse staff, loaders, helpers and other personnel working under the warehouse function.
- Allocate daily work and monitor employee productivity.
- Train team members on material handling, warehouse procedures, safety and hygiene.
- Ensure discipline, attendance and proper work practices within the warehouse.
- Monitor overtime and manpower requirements and report the same to the reporting manager.
H. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain inward and outward records, stock registers, material issue records and dispatch documentation.
- Ensure timely updating of ERP/software/system records.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly stock and warehouse reports as required.
- Report stock discrepancies, damages, shortages, excesses and operational issues to management.
- Maintain records required for internal, statutory and food-safety audits.
I. Safety & Security
- Ensure safe handling and movement of materials.
- Maintain proper stacking height and safe access to storage areas.
- Ensure fire safety equipment and emergency access areas remain unobstructed.
- Prevent unauthorized movement of materials from the warehouse.
- Report any safety hazards, accidents, damages or security concerns immediately.

4. Candidate Profile
Education:
- Diploma / Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Warehouse Management, Commerce or a related field.
Experience:
- 3–6 years of experience in warehouse / stores operations.
- Experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, sweets, bakery, restaurant or related industries will be preferred.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹23,000.00 per month
