Key Responsibilities
Regional Biometrics Delivery Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for biometrics services delivered from India.
- Ensure successful execution of studies where India-based teams perform both supporting and lead delivery roles.
- Partner with global functional leaders to drive consistent delivery quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction across all biometrics services.
- Support implementation of global delivery standards, governance processes, operational metrics, and quality expectations.
- Monitor capacity, utilization, workforce readiness, and capability development to support business growth and delivery commitments.
- Ensure India-based teams are positioned to support increasingly complex global study requirements as organizational capabilities mature.
Organization Build-Out and Capability Development
- Develop and execute the strategy for building a scalable India Biometrics organization aligned with the Global Data Science operating model.
- Design and implement regional organizational structures that support both current operational needs and future growth objectives.
- Establish leadership succession plans and talent development programs across the India organization.
- Drive professional development initiatives to strengthen technical, leadership, and functional capabilities.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Build organizational capabilities that support sustainable long-term growth and increased strategic contribution from the India region.
Talent Acquisition and Workforce Planning
- Lead workforce planning and recruitment activities for the India Biometrics organization.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and Global Data Science leaders to identify and address current and future talent needs.
- Build capability across existing biometrics service areas while supporting expansion into future growth areas aligned with business strategy.
- Increase therapeutic area expertise and scientific depth across the India organization.
- Develop recruitment and talent development strategies that support leadership pipeline growth and long-term organizational sustainability.
- Ensure workforce plans support future operating model requirements and anticipated business growth.
Stakeholder Management and Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Build strong partnerships with Clinical Operations, Medical, Regulatory, Project Management, Commercial, Quality, and other supporting functions.
- Represent the India Biometrics organization within enterprise leadership discussions and strategic planning activities.
- Ensure India-based teams receive appropriate support from global functions while effectively supporting broader organizational objectives.
- Facilitate collaboration between regional and global teams to improve integration, consistency, and operational effectiveness.
- Serve as a key advocate for India-based capabilities while maintaining alignment with global priorities and standards.
Global Data Science Leadership
- Partner with leaders across Data Management, Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, Analytics, and Biometrics Portfolio Leadership to drive a unified global organization.
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the Global Data Science operating model.
- Contribute to strategic planning, workforce development, capability expansion, and organizational transformation initiatives.
- Promote consistency in processes, standards, talent development practices, and operating principles across regions.
- Help build a cohesive global leadership team capable of supporting Novotech's future growth ambitions.
Strategic Growth and Transformation
- Lead regional transformation initiatives required to support the evolution of the Global Data Science operating model.
- Identify opportunities to expand organizational capability, improve operational effectiveness, and enhance customer value.
- Support evaluation and development of future service offerings and capability areas aligned with business strategy.
- Establish India as a critical global delivery and capability center supporting Novotech's long-term growth objectives.
- Drive organizational readiness for future growth through disciplined workforce planning, leadership development, and capability maturation.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field required.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 15 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, CRO, or clinical research industry.
- Minimum 8 years of people leadership experience, including management of large regional or global teams.
- Demonstrated success building, scaling, and transforming operational organizations.
- Significant experience within Data Management, Biostatistics, Statistical Programming, Biometrics, or related disciplines.
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships across multiple functions and geographic regions.
- Proven track record of talent development, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Robust understanding of global clinical development processes and biometrics delivery models.
