Video Editor (1-4 Years Experience)

Nelgates Technologies Private Limited is looking for a creative and driven Video Editor who is passionate about storytelling through video. In this full-time role, you will own the editing workflow for social media content, promotional videos, and marketing campaigns, working closely with our marketing and design teams on live client projects.

Key Responsibilities

Edit and deliver videos for social media platforms (Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.)

Create engaging reels, shorts, promotional videos, and advertisements from concept to final output

Trim, sequence, and assemble raw footage into polished, brand-aligned content

Add transitions, motion graphics, text animations, sound effects, and background music

Perform color correction, color grading, and audio enhancement

Collaborate with marketing, design, and client-facing teams to plan and produce creative content

Ensure all videos meet brand guidelines, quality standards, and project deadlines

Manage multiple projects at once and handle client feedback and revisions efficiently

Optimize video formats, frame rates, and aspect ratios for each platform

Stay current with editing techniques, social media trends, and content styles

Mentor interns or junior editors when required (for candidates with 3+ years of experience)

Required Skills





Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects (or similar professional editing software)

Strong understanding of video formats, codecs, frame rates, and aspect ratios

Solid storytelling sense and an eye for pacing, rhythm, and visual composition

Hands-on experience with motion graphics and animation

Working knowledge of color grading and audio mixing

Good communication and time management skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Good to Have

Experience with DaVinci Resolve, Photoshop, or Illustrator

Basic videography or shooting knowledge

Experience creating content for brands, agencies, or client campaigns

Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools

Eligibility

1-4 years of professional experience in video editing

Degree or diploma in Visual Communication, Multimedia, Animation, Media Studies, Film Editing, Graphic Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)

A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating social media, promotional, or commercial video work is mandatory
