Job Summary

The Microbiology Faculty is responsible for delivering effective theoretical and practical instruction in microbiology, guiding students in laboratory procedures, developing their subject knowledge and practical skills, and maintaining high academic and laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver lectures on fundamental and advanced concepts of microbiology.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, assignments, and practical sessions.
- Teach topics including bacteriology, virology, mycology, parasitology, immunology, microbial genetics, and clinical microbiology.
- Conduct microbiology laboratory sessions and demonstrate appropriate laboratory techniques.
- Train students in specimen collection, handling, processing, staining, culture techniques, and identification of microorganisms.
- Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safe handling of laboratory equipment, instruments, chemicals, and biological materials.
- Assess student performance through examinations, assignments, practical assessments, seminars, and projects.
- Maintain accurate attendance, internal assessment, academic, and practical records.
- Provide academic guidance and mentoring to students.
- Encourage students to participate in seminars, workshops, projects, research activities, and academic competitions.




- Maintain proper laboratory hygiene, biosafety, and infection-control practices.
- Follow institutional academic policies, curriculum requirements, and quality standards.
- Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, examinations, and institutional activities.
- Stay updated with recent developments, techniques, and trends in microbiology.
- Coordinate with other faculty members and management to ensure effective academic delivery.

Educational Qualification

- M.Sc. / M.Phil. in Microbiology or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Additional qualifications in clinical microbiology, medical microbiology, or related fields will be an advantage.

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
