Role Purpose:
The Staff Nurse will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. The role involves patient assessment, first aid, medication administration, emergency support, maintaining medical records, and assisting doctors in delivering effective healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care and support to patients as per medical requirements.
Assess patients’ basic health conditions, vital signs, symptoms, and medical history.
Administer prescribed medicines, injections, IV fluids, and other treatments as directed by the Medical Officer.
Provide first aid and immediate medical assistance during emergencies, injuries, accidents, or sudden illness.
Monitor patients’ health conditions and report any significant changes to the doctor/Medical Officer.
Assist doctors during examinations, treatments, minor procedures, and medical emergencies.
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, treatment details, medication records, and nursing reports.
Manage and maintain nursing equipment, medical supplies, medicines, and emergency kits.
Ensure proper infection control, hygiene, sterilization, and safe disposal of medical waste.
Coordinate with hospitals, ambulances, and external healthcare providers when referrals or emergency transfers are required.
Support health check-up camps, vaccination drives, wellness programs, and other health-related activities organized by the University.
Provide basic health guidance and counselling to students and employees when required.
Maintain proper documentation of daily patients, emergencies, referrals,
and follow-ups.
Ensure the nursing station/medical facility is clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
Maintain patient confidentiality and follow professional nursing ethics and institutional policies.
Be available for rotational shifts, weekends, or emergency duties as required.
Qualifications:
B.Sc. Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
Valid registration with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council, as applicable.
Current nursing registration and required professional certifications.
Experience:
1–5 years of relevant experience in a hospital, clinic, healthcare facility, university, or institutional medical setup.
Freshers with strong clinical knowledge and valid registration may also be considered.

Ability to remain calm and effective during emergencies.
Knowledge of medication administration and basic clinical procedures.
Good documentation and record-keeping skills.
Compassionate, patient-focused, and responsible approach.
Ability to work independently as well as with doctors and healthcare teams.
Basic computer skills for maintaining medical records.
Preferred:
Experience in a campus/university medical centre, hospital, or institutional healthcare setup.
Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR or other relevant emergency-care training.
Experience handling student or young-adult healthcare cases.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
