About the Role

ZANCK is looking for a motivated and results-oriented Business Development Associate to join our Sales & Operations team.

This role is designed for professionals with 1–2 years of experience in business development, sales, inside sales, client acquisition, lead generation, or a related customer-facing role who want to build deeper expertise in B2B technology sales and enterprise business development.

As a Business Development Associate, you will take greater ownership of the business development process—from identifying and researching prospective organizations to initiating conversations, understanding business challenges, qualifying opportunities, maintaining the sales pipeline, and supporting the conversion of prospects into active business opportunities.

You will work closely with the Sales & Operations team and collaborate with leadership, marketing, and technology teams to understand client requirements and position ZANCK's capabilities around business problems, operational requirements, technology needs, and measurable business outcomes.

This role is ideal for someone who has moved beyond basic lead generation and is ready to take ownership of qualified opportunities, client relationships, sales activities, and business development outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Lead Generation
- Research and identify potential B2B clients across ZANCK's target industries.
- Build, maintain, and continuously improve qualified prospect lists based on defined Ideal Customer Profiles (ICPs).
- Identify relevant business leaders, decision-makers, technology stakeholders, and functional heads within target organizations.
- Generate qualified leads through LinkedIn, email, phone outreach, web research, referrals, networking, events, partnerships, and other skilled channels.
- Research target companies to understand their business model, market position, operational challenges, technology environment, growth plans, and potential requirements.
- Identify organizations that may benefit from ZANCK's enterprise technology engineering capabilities.
- Identify new accounts, market segments, industries, partnerships, and business opportunities.
- Convert market research into actionable prospecting and outreach opportunities.
- Maintain a consistent pipeline of relevant and qualified prospects.

Sales Outreach & Client Engagement
- Conduct professional outbound communication through email, LinkedIn, phone calls, and other appropriate channels.
- Introduce ZANCK's capabilities clearly and professionally to prospective clients.
- Understand the prospect's business context before positioning ZANCK's capabilities.
- Initiate meaningful business conversations with prospects rather than relying solely on feature-based selling.
- Understand initial client requirements, business challenges, operational gaps, and technology needs.
- Qualify prospects based on business need, relevance, decision-making authority, timing, budget potential, and opportunity fit.
- Conduct structured follow-ups with prospects and maintain professional communication throughout the sales cycle.
- Schedule discovery calls, business meetings, consultations, and technology discussions.
- Participate in discovery conversations with prospects and clients.
- Support senior team members during client meetings, presentations, and business discussions.
- Build professional relationships with prospective clients and maintain engagement throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
- Handle objections and initial concerns professionally and escalate complex requirements when necessary.

Sales Pipeline & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect, company, contact, and opportunity information in the CRM.
- Track outreach, responses, conversations, follow-ups, meetings, requirements, and opportunity stages.
- Maintain a structured and healthy sales pipeline.
- Ensure prospects move through the appropriate stages of the business development process.
- Monitor follow-up schedules and prevent qualified opportunities from becoming inactive.
- Maintain accurate activity records and sales notes.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and periodic business development activity reports.
- Track key sales activity metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain organized records of accounts, contacts, conversations, proposals, and opportunities.
- Support management with pipeline updates, opportunity summaries, and sales reports.

Opportunity Qualification & Development
- Evaluate whether a prospect is a strong fit for ZANCK's capabilities.
- Identify the underlying business problem behind a prospect's technology requirement.
- Gather relevant information required for discovery and solution discussions.
- Document client requirements and business challenges accurately.
- Coordinate with internal teams when deeper technical or operational understanding is required.
- Support the transition of qualified opportunities into discovery, proposal, and solution-development stages.

- Follow up on proposals, quotations, presentations, and other sales materials.
- Identify opportunities for cross-service and long-term client engagements.
- Maintain awareness of opportunity value, probability, decision timelines, and next actions.

Market & Business Research
- Research target industries, markets, companies, competitors, and emerging business opportunities.
- Monitor technology adoption and digital transformation trends relevant to ZANCK's target customers.
- Identify organizations undergoing expansion, modernization, automation, digital transformation, or technology restructuring.
- Research potential enterprise accounts and identify relevant business triggers.
- Analyze competitor positioning and market activity.
- Prepare account research and prospect intelligence before important client conversations.
- Assist in identifying new market-entry opportunities and strategic account segments.
- Prepare concise research summaries and opportunity reports for internal decision-making.

Sales Operations & Business Support
- Support the planning and execution of business development campaigns.
- Assist in preparing company profiles, proposals, presentations, quotations, capability documents, and other sales materials.
- Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Technology, and leadership teams to move opportunities forward.
- Maintain structured documentation for ongoing opportunities.
- Assist with client meetings, business presentations, networking events, partnerships, and industry engagements.
- Coordinate internal follow-ups related to active opportunities.
- Support account-level activities and relationship management.
- Identify process gaps in business development activities and suggest improvements.
- Take ownership of assigned business development activities and complete them within defined timelines.
- Contribute to improving the overall efficiency and discipline of the Sales & Operations function.
