We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced UK Accounts Executive to manage day-to-day accounting operations for UK-based clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with UK bookkeeping, VAT, payroll support, management accounts, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards and HMRC regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using cloud accounting software.
- Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, credit notes, and journals.
- Perform bank, supplier, and customer reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC guidelines.
- Assist in preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts.
- Support year-end accounts preparation and audit requirements.
- Process payroll or coordinate payroll activities (preferred).
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Monitor cash flow and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
- Handle fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
- Ensure compliance with UK accounting standards and company policies.
- Liaise with clients, auditors,
and internal stakeholders regarding financial queries.
- Maintain financial documentation and records accurately.
- Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in UK Accounting or Bookkeeping.
- Robust understanding of UK accounting principles and HMRC compliance.
- Experience with VAT preparation and filing.
- Good knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks Online, Sage, or FreeAgent.
- Knowledge of CIS, payroll, and Corporation Tax basics.
- Experience working with UK accounting firms or outsourcing companies.
- AAT/ACCA (Part Qualified) or equivalent certification is an advantage.
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
